*Yvonne Hopkins, Lyric Coloratura Soprano: Yvonne began her career as a soloist in the St. James Youth Choir, Newark. A few years later she signed a contract with the Metropolitan Opera House Extra Chorus, to sing in thirty-two performances of the World Premier of Porgy and Bess, and in performances of Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg by Wagner.

Miss Hopkins was a member of the NJ State Opera under the direction of Maestro Alfredo Silipigni, and she studied under the guidance of Metropolitan Opera singer, Licia Albanese. She also appeared at the St. James Presbyterian Church, NYC under the leadership of world renowned concert & opera singer, Dorothy Maynor. She has appeared in concert at Lincoln Center, NYC, White Plains, NY, and for the United Nations General Assembly.
